Draw Mohammed Day!

My contribution to Draw Mohammed Day follows.

Okay ... I know I'm not an artist and it's just a cut and paste compilation but we all have to start somewhere :-).

The Pansies are the traditional symbol of FreeThought which is why I added them to the bottom of the picture.

The image of Mohammed is a cut and paste of another image located in one my previous posts.

In case, it's difficult to read, the caption says: Religious freedom? or FreeThought? Free Speech protects us all.

Yes it's tame compared to the usual stuff I post but apparently it's still "evil". I decided to go for a tame image in order to make precisely that point.

Really? Doing this to piss people off is not a good idea. You're not expressing your freedom of speech/religion, you are simply bashing on other people's religions. This is one of the reasons atheists have a bad name. I do not identify with any religions, but you are turning lack of belief in to hatred of the beliefs of others.

Clever.

We're not doing this to piss anyone off.

We're doing this to make the point that no religion has the right to impose their restrictions on us and we have a right to criticize religion without being terrorized or brutally murdered for doing it.

When attacking the Negro, they called communalism. When attacking the Jews, they call it anti-semetism. When attacking a woman, they call it sexism. When attacking homosexuals, they said intolerance. When attacking the State, they called it treason. When attacking the religious sector, they call it hate. But if they attack the Prophet Muhammad, they call it freedom of speech?

How does non-believers who are not limited by the restrictions of Islam, drawing cartoons of Muhammed translate into "hate" or even an "attack"?

We are asserting our right to criticize all religions including Islam.

I don't understand how people are interpreting this as hate against their religion. Are they so brainwashed that they seem to forget the hate created and distributed by their own religion?
